Gothlo is a cutting-edge beauty brush brand that strives to blend technology and artistry to create innovative products that appeal to Gen Z. In the initial stage of brand design, we drew inspiration from visual elements such as futuristic technology, fashion culture, retro-futurism, cyberpunk, and Y2K. We aim to find a unique position for Gothlo between subculture and popular culture, and between technology and art.

Gothlo's logo design is primarily in the form of a word mark. In order to enhance the visual appeal without compromising its recognizability, we made some graphic adjustments to certain letters. For example, we designed an upward arrow for the letter "G" and tilted the letter "O" in the same direction and angle.
At the beginning of the logo design process, we originally planned to create a logo featuring a firefly. However, after several iterations of logo optimization, we simplified the firefly and merged it into an abstract graphic consisting of a circle and a cross-shaped star, which is the final letter "O" in the logo. We hope to use the symbolic image of the firefly to convey Gothlo's brand slogan "Follow Light Spark Myself".
The Gothlo icon is very straightforward that derived from two iconic elements of the word mark, the first letter "G" and the cross representing "light".
Design Concept of the Metaverse Series
"The future" is a competition with the universe, and the Gothlo Flash Star is more about deepening the brand culture and brand tone. Both Flash Star and Starlight will give people a first impression of the future and shining, and people's preference and pursuit of Flash Star is eternal. The creation of the Metaverse series is also based on the inspiration of the Flash Star, with the addition of technological elements. The pattern design takes inspiration from electronic technology and cosmic clusters, and re-designs the graphics and Gothlo letters. At the same time, the blue and green colors in the fluorescent color system are used to emphasize the unknown and mysterious universe.
Design Concept of the NEON CITY Series
In our imagination of the future world, neon elements are almost essential. We believe that the future city will also be more colorful and anti-utopian. By combining the sense of future technology with the romantic atmosphere of the city, we use petals and simple graphics to showcase the splendor of the neon city. Vibrant and bold fluorescent colors are used to emphasize the dynamic and colorful aspects of the future city.
